SAFE CHURCH

Protecting Christ’s People

All Souls Church is dedicated to being a safe church for all people, especially the most vulnerable members of our community. In line with the high standards of the Anglican Diocese of the Carolinas, we strive to put systems in place for preventing and reporting any kind of misconduct among our clergy, lay ministers, and volunteers. These procedures are regularly reviewed by our staff and the administration of the diocese. Below you will find important information for how we are seeking to prevent misconduct and how you can report misconduct to proper authorities who are trained to deal with any situation you may have.

If you would like to learn more about the policies of the Anglican Diocese of the Carolinas, you can find more on the diocesan website.

Children’s Safety

Every child is precious, and we want each child who comes to All Souls to feel safe as they come to learn about Jesus. Below is our child protection policy which outlines the means we use to prevent misconduct in any of our ministries. All of our staff and volunteers have been trained through Ministry Safe with whom we have a close partnership.

Report Misconduct

If there is an incident that you need to report, please speak to our priest, Fr. Josh Fink, to begin the process.

If you feel your incident needs to be reported beyond our parish leadership, you may send an email directly to our bishops and the chancellor of the diocese at bishops@adoc.church. Your message will immediately go to all four bishops and the chancellor who will be in touch as soon as they are able. Please include your name and phone number in the report so they can easily get back in touch with you.

For incidents involving children, we ask that you also reach out to our Children’s Ministry Director and the Rector as well in order to fill out the incident report within our Child Protection Policy so that we can do what we need to on our end for reporting to proper authorities and care for victims.
